Donnie Vaughn of Vaughn Construction and Renovation started this company over 35 years ago. Donnie started the business out in remodeling, renovating, and restoring. In the early years Donnie had a vision of offering a construction company that would offer honesty, integrity, and a fine finished product. Donnie would eventually transition the company into a mainstream custom home building outfit with many successful years to follow along with countless satisfied customers. Donnie’s mindset was to build and complete each home as if it were his and build a longstanding relation ship with each customer with hopes of each job well done leading to a referral. Donnie has been in and around the Gaston County area nearly all his life and is known through the community or his great workmanship and integrity.
In May 2000, Donnie’s son Ryan graduated Appalachian State University with Bachelors Degree in Construction Technology. Ryan was brought up around construction all his life and like his father has had a passion for the industry. Since Ryan has been employed, he has supervised nearly 100 custom homes over the past 12 years. Ryan says, “with each project comes a new challenge, and with that comes something new to learn. No matter how big or small the project I feel like I am continually learning something about this industry, whether it be on the new product side, the building code change, or the structural side. I love this industry and I love making customers happy.”
Ryan has also overseen some larger commercial projects such as the renovation of the OLD City Tavern restaurant in the Hearst Tower downtown Charlotte converting it into the newest location of LaVecchias Seafood and Steaks as well as the upfit of Jax Backstreet Tavern in Belmont, NC. Ryan holds an unlimited Building license.
Donnie and Ryan make a great team and will both work hard to complete your custom project no matter the size. If you are looking for a truly custom and easy going experience please contact the Vaughns to help you out on your next custom project.
